To drive the sustainable development of the industry, it is imperative to strengthen policy guidance and implement supportive measures such as fiscal, taxation, and financial incentives; improve the standard system and enhance the alignment between steel material standards and building codes; cultivate professional talent and elevate the overall technical capacity of the industry.

Looking ahead, with the continuous advancement of prefabricated construction policies and the in-depth implementation of the "dual carbon" goals, the market share of steel structure buildings will steadily increase. At present, the proportion of steel structure buildings in China is only 5%–7%, which still leaves considerable room for growth compared with 30%–40% in developed countries.In the future, with the R&D and application of new materials such as high-strength steel and weathering steel, as well as the in-depth integration of intelligent and digital technologies with the steel structure industry, steel structures will achieve breakthroughs in more fields.
