1. Rigid polyurethane has low thermal conductivity and good thermal performance. When the density of rigid polyurethane is 35~40kg/m3, the thermal conductivity is only 0.018~0.024w/(m.k), which is about half that of EPS. It is the low thermal conductivity of all thermal insulation materials at present.
2. Rigid polyurethane has moistureproof and waterproof properties. The closed cell ratio of rigid polyurethane is more than 90%, which is a hydrophobic material. It will not increase the thermal conductivity due to moisture absorption, and the wall will not leak.
3. Rigid polyurethane is fireproof, flame retardant and high temperature resistant. After adding flame retardant, polyurethane is a flame retardant self extinguishing material. Its softening point can reach more than 250 ℃, and it will decompose only at higher temperatures. In addition, polyurethane will form carbon deposits on its foam surface when burning, which will help isolate the foam below. It can effectively prevent flame spread. Moreover, polyurethane does not produce harmful gases at high temperatures.
4. Due to the excellent heat insulation performance of polyurethane sheet, the thickness of building exterior enclosure can be reduced under the same heat insulation requirements, thus increasing the indoor use area.
5. It has strong deformation resistance, is not easy to crack, and the finish is stable and safe.
6. The porosity structure of polyurethane material is stable, which is basically a closed cell structure. It not only has excellent thermal insulation performance, but also has good freeze-thaw resistance and sound absorption. The average life of rigid foam polyurethane insulation structure can reach more than 30 years under normal use and maintenance conditions. Under normal service conditions during the service life of the structure, the structure will not be damaged in dry, wet or electrochemical corrosion, as well as due to the growth of insects, fungi or algae, or due to the damage of rodents and other external factors.
7. High comprehensive cost performance. Although the unit price of rigid polyurethane foam is higher than that of other traditional insulation materials, the increased cost will be offset by the substantial reduction of heating and cooling costs.
